N110bn budget for judiciary not enough – Yusuf Ali tells Buhari

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mallam Yusuf Ali, on Saturday, declared that the N110 billion budgeted for the Nationwide Judicial Fee (NJC) in 2021 was not sufficient.

Ali stated that the Judiciary wanted to be nicely funded.

DAILY POST remembers that President Muhammau Buhari had on Thursday, declared that the sum of N110 billion naira has been budgeted for NJC. 

However, Ali, whereas talking throughout a thanksgiving and prayer session organised in honour of a former Govt Secretary of Nationwide Fee for Nomadic Training, Professor Rasid Aderinnoye, maintained that the judiciary have to be nicely funded for it to be honest and impartial.

Ali famous that the judiciary wanted extra funds to cater for its personnel and capital challenge.

He stated, “Our courtroom rooms aren’t as trendy as they should be and with this pandemic, there’s the necessity for the Judiciary to take a position massively in ICT in order that it will probably leverage on the result of the pandemic.

‘I imagine quietly that the Judiciary would require more cash than what it has been allotted within the finances”.

Whereas commenting on the retired professor, Ali described Aderinoye as a supply of inspiration and disciplinarian whom everybody regarded as much as.
