Akwa Ibom communities lift alarm as Udom Emmanuel abandons 55.1km superhighway challenge

Indignant youths in six Native Executive Spaces of Akwa Ibom State have threatened to embark on a large protest following the abandonment of 55.1 km Superhighway challenge which runs via their communities.

The Superhighway that spanned via Ibeno, Eket, Esit Eket, Mbo and Urue Offong Oruko Native Executive Spaces of the state was once initiated via Governor Udom Emmanuel.

However, the state Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Inyangeyen blamed the government for the lengthen within the development of the 12-lane Ibom Tremendous Freeway because it did not approve the development of Ibom Deep Seaport for the state.
